He and his wife Pamela founded Web Feet Integrated Marketing in 2001 to help San Luis Obispo County's small-business owners effectively leverage their marketing efforts. His years as an advertising representative and small-business owner showed him how haphazardly many marketing decisions are made -- based on relationships with ad reps, on a company's current cash flow, or on other spur-of-the-moment considerations -- and he wanted a way to help these businesses develop strategic, integrated marketing plans. Starting Web Feet allowed Michael and Pamela to give small-business owners the same focused, personalized attention that big advertising agencies devote to larger businesses.
As the supervisor of web development and online marketing, Michael keeps a close eye on the ever-changing landscape of web technologies so that he can help clients take advantage of the latest marketing tools, without falling victim to passing fads. Because web applications like blogs, email campaigns, online audio and video, and RSS feeds tend to be inexpensive, applying these technologies within an integrated marketing strategy can be a cost-effective way of achieving clients' goals.
Michael and Pamela have lived on the Central Coast for over 20 years. He takes advantage of the wide range of outdoor activities the area offers, from skiing and hiking to scuba diving, and enjoys spending time with their two daughters, dog, and four cats. In addition to his work on the Advisory Committee for the Cuesta College Web Development Technologies Program, he is a member of SLOCAMA (the San Luis Obispo Creative and Marketing Alliance) and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
